I can see this link up becoming one of my favourites. At first glance its an easy post. The only rule, it must be in list or bullet form. Slightly harder to make it interesting though.
My adopted parents took my sister and I on regular foreign trips when we were growing up. At the time I might not have appreciated it. Now though I am grateful they did. If I'm honest I also regret the sulky teenage snarl in most of the photos from these trips.
My List this week is places I want to take my children to.
1. Istanbul. One of the last places we went as a family before my parents and sister moved to the USA. A wonderful city full of history and wonder. The only city built on two continents, Europe and Asia. The shopping in the Souk. Topaki Palace. A riverboat sightseeing tour.
2. Corfu. I worked in Ipsos as a holiday rep and then barman in the summer of 2002. The Greeks are a friendly, hospitable nation, and I'd love to go back and show my family. The cuisine is excellent. Aqualand is a great day out and I might be tempted to have an Ouzo or two for old times sake.
3. Egypt. Ever since I learnt about the ancient Egyptians in primary school I've wanted to go there to see The Pyramids and cruise down the Nile.
4. Wales. Going to boarding school in Gloucester just across the Welsh border we made frequent trips to Wales.
Hiking and camping in the Brecon Beacons, walking up Mount Snowden. Camping trips to Barry Island and visits to Rhyl. Would be great to climb Pen Y Fan once more with kids in tow.

5. London. When I lived in England going to London was nothing special. 30 minutes on the train and there you were. Shopping, eating, sports the theatre it was all there.
Now I understand why so many tourists go. The Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, Hamlets, Hyde Park and of course no trip would be complete without a visit to White Hart Lane.
